Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars


3/4 cup butter (softened to room temperature)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/2 cup overflowing chocolate chips (the overflow will be to sprinkle on top)
1/2 cup overflowing peanut butter baking chips (the overflow will be to sprinkle on top)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with foil or parchment paper. If using foil, spray with a non-stick cooking spray.
In a bowl or stand mixer, combine the softened butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, peanut butter and vanilla.
Slowly add the flour and baking powder.
Lastly, add in most of the chocolate chips and peanut butter chocolate chips and mix just until incorporated.
Evenly spread the cookie dough in the 9x13 baking pan.
Sprinkle the top of the cookie dough with a few extra baking chips.
Bake 20-25 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely.
Once cooled, lift the foil/parchment paper up and out of the pan, then cut into bars.
