Oriental Cabbage Salad

From: Peak of the Market (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, 12/12/2016)

Ingredients Salad:
1 large suey choy, chopped
2 bunches green onions, chopped
1 red bell pepper, seeded and diced
1/4 cup (57g) butter
1 cup (75g) almonds, slivered
2 packages chicken flavoured oriental soup noodles with seasoning, broken

Ingredients Dressing:
1 cup (250 ml) vegetable oil
1/2 cup (125 ml) red wine vinegar
2 minced garlic cloves
2 teaspoons (10 ml) soy sauce
1/3 cup (75g) sugar

1. In a large bowl, mix the cabbage with the onions and red pepper.
2. In a frying pan, melt the butter. Saute the almonds, broken noodles and the seasoning packets until golden.
3. Add this mixture to the cabbage mixture and toss.
4. Making the Dressing: In a jar with a lids, shake the oil, vinegar, cloves, soy sauce and sugar together.
5. Pour your desired amount over the salad and toss.
6. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.
